Ferris J. Ritchey, Ph.D.

Dr. Ritchey received his B.A. and M.A. degrees in sociology from the University of Alabama, and his doctoral degree in sociology from the University of Texas at Austin. A medical sociologist and statistician, Dr. Ritchey has published two books and more than thirty professional research papers which have appeared in leading social scientific and medical sociology journals, such as the Journal of Health and Social Behavior, Social Science and Medicine, and the American Journal of Public Health. His current research interests center on physicians fears of malpractice litigation and health and health care among homeless persons. He is currently working on the 2nd edition of a statistics text.
