Dr. Sloan is Chairman of the Department of Justice Sciences. He has taught courses on criminal justice ethics, criminal justice policy, white collar and corporate crime and women and the justice system. His research interests include the effects of heavy viewing of news programming on the public’s estimates of the number of arrests and crime-related deaths. He is the author of the book Campus Crime: Legal, Social and Policy Perspectives, (Charles C. Thomas, 1995).
