J. Heith Copes, Ph.D.

Heith Copes received the Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Tennessee in 2001. His research interests include criminal decision making, automobile theft, and white collar crime. Professor Copes teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses, including courses in criminological theory, research methods, and crime patterns. He was the 2005 recipient of the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching for the School of Socialand Behavioral Sciences.
