Janet Bronstein, Ph.D.

Dr. Janet M. Bronstein (M.A., Ph.D., University of Kentucky, B.A., Brandeis University) is Professor in the Department of Health Care Organization and Policy and Scholar, Lister Hill Center for Health Policy. Her doctorate is in Applied Medical Anthropology. She teaches Health Policy and Ethical and Social Issues in Public Health. Janet's research interests focus primarily on health care services for the low income population. She has conducted several studies of maternity services, and was coinvestigator on the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research Patient Outcome Research Team on the Prevention of Low Birthweight and Adverse Sequelae in Minority and High Risk Women. She has also studied access, cost and quality of care in the pediatric and the general population covered by Medicaid programs.
