About
In the broadest sense, the study of history gives students insight into the worlds of the past as well as the world of today. Many undergraduate history majors may decide to go on for addtional graduate study in preparation for teaching careers; others will find the history major to be a useful preparation for careers in law, public service, international affairs, journalism, business, and similar areas where expertise in research, writing, and analytical thinking are in demand.
