Michael N. McConnell, colonial North American history and Native American history. He is the author of A Country Between: the Upper Ohio Valley and Its Peoples, 1724-1774 (University of Nebraska Press, 1992). Other areas of research interest include emergent native societies and the borderlands of colonial North America. Teaching interests include the development of colonial societies, and comparative colonization. Dr. McConnell's research has been supported by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the David Library of the American Revolution. He is also a Consultant to the Fort Ligonier Association, Ligonier.
