Phi Alpha
UAB's Social Work Program holds the Eta Beta chapter charter for social work's national honor society, Phi Alpha. To qualify for induction, a social work major student must have a 3.3 overall grade point average and a 3.6 social work grade point average in required social work courses. Eligible students are notified by letter and are inducted at a reception held in their honor. The distinction recognizes students who have attained excellence in scholarship.
